Inspired by the humble blackbird

The older I get, the more I can appreciate the beauty that surrounds me. Very often we long for things far away... We want to travel all over the globe, eat foreign types of food, or - in relation to flute making - work with the most exotic woods. Blackbird Flutes is my personal interpretation on appreciating the abundance around me. Like the humble blackbird. Despite being a common species in my home country, his cheerful voice never fails to make me smile. The same can be said about the diverse trees and species in the beautiful nature surrounding me. I lose myself in the forest, gathering branches that have their own captivative stories to tell. My job is just to give them a voice...
